1. Who we are

RateCard is operated by Altshuler Family Holdings LLC. Contact: hello@useratecard.com.

2. What we collect

Account and verification data: your work email address, used to verify submissions and manage your account. We never display your email publicly.
Rate submissions: skill, seniority, metro, rate, and engagement type. Submissions are stored with your account for verification and deduplication, but are only ever displayed in aggregated, anonymized form (percentiles and sample counts). Your name, company, and contact details are never shown alongside a rate.
Billing data: processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.
Basic technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security and operations. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

3. How we use it

We use your information to operate the service: verifying submissions, computing benchmarks, managing subscriptions, preventing fraud and gaming, and communicating about your account. With your consent, we may send the quarterly State of Rates report and launch updates; you can opt out at any time.

4. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share identifiable submission data with third parties. Aggregated, anonymized benchmark statistics may be published or shared; these cannot be traced back to you.

5. Data retention and security

We retain account and submission data for as long as your account is active and as needed to maintain benchmark history. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at hello@useratecard.com; anonymized aggregate statistics derived from your submissions may remain. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to opt out of certain processing. Contact hello@useratecard.com to exercise these rights.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in advance; continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
